Biography

Lauren Baldwin is a British Actress currently living in Los Angeles. She began her career at the tender age of 10 after joining a local Youth Theatre Company. She attended a workshop day at Granada TV and received not only an audition for a new children's TV show but very positive feedback, sparking the owners of the Youth Theatre group to create a talent agency and get Lauren out into the working industry. Laurens first role was in the Beatles music video entitled "Free a as a Bird', cast by Britains prestigious Hubbard Casting who cast such movies as "King Kong" and the "Bourne" trilogy. She continued to audition and get down to the final stages for roles on top soaps such as "Coronation Street" and "Emmerdale", performing walk on roles regularly for each. Studying acting both in and out of school, Lauren took her acting career seriously, taking LAMDA exams as well as dance and voice classes to broaden her skills. Lauren made the leap to a bigger Manchester based agency -Laine Management, at the age of 15. Here she joined the affiliated drama school and trained under David Johnson who trained actors such as Anna Friel and West End star Suranne Jones. She also gave up the chance to dance at the Commonwealth Games to take part in the Edinburgh Fringe Festival in a greek tragedy entitled "Peace". Lauren has always had a desire to live and work in the US and when the opportunity arose to study at TVI Actors Studio in Los Angeles under casting directors such as Nick Anderson and Zora Dehorter, she was accepted and on a flight over within weeks. Before leaving for the US Lauren completed production on a feature film for director Mark Callum entitled "The Last Holiday" in which she plays a lead role. The shoot was demanding and called for a highly emotional performance. She also completed the 2nd run of "RUSH", a drugs awareness production performed at the Merseyside Maritime Museum. Lauren is extremely grateful to have had the opportunity to raise awareness of the effects of drugs on youths in the Liverpool area as the city holds a special place in her heart. Since arriving in the US Lauren has been in popular demand, shooting 2 features, a web series and numerous short films in under a year.
